Tech pioneers, Brian Atton and Jay Brooks were childhood friends with a common bond – a passion for technology. As post-grads during the infancy of the tech boom, Brian pursued a career in web development and Jay in traditional software. In 2003, after building highly successful careers in their respective fields, they reconnected to form top-tier web design company, Volta. With numerous websites under their belt and endless interaction with Content Creators, they exposed a growing need for a better way to share, collaborate and present video and media assets. With years of hardcore programming under their belts and a passion for complex problem solving, their mission was clear… Simian was born.
Brian was at the epicenter of the burgeoning .com whirlwind that was, Silicon Valley in the late ‘90’s.
