It’s no secret that Simian is one of the most powerful media sharing and presentation platforms available and features a plethora of benefits, but did you know that Simian also features a bevy of hidden gems that perhaps even the savviest Simian users aren’t aware of? Well, I’m spilling it all in this, part one of Simian’s list of Top Secret Features. Check ’em out, give them a try and work …smarter!

10. Present Media Offline

That’s right, I said OFFline. Simian Now! lets you download presentations to your iPhone/iPad for playback offline, without a connection. This is a must have for an impromptu screening, because you can even present to a big screen with Apple TV.

9. Package Multiple Reels Together

Pitch multiple creatives at once by sending a Packaged Reel! That’s right; Simian makes it simple to package multiple reels into a single presentation link, giving you more opportunities to pitch talent while eliminating excess email clutter for clients.

8. Connect Simian to Salesforce and Other Popular CRMs

Keeping your sales pipeline up to date can be a tedious task, but it doesn’t have to be. Did you know that every presentation message and link you send can be automatically merged with your CRM’s contacts, leads and opportunities? Keep those sales teams informed throughout the entire sales process without the need for manual entry. Bonus!

7. Measure Sales Activities and Performance

What are sales activities? Sales Activities reflect exactly what your sales team is doing, like the number of reels sent, spots per reel, time spent viewing, etc. Reel Reports provide insight into what your sales team's activities are via live, actionable data that can be used to improve performance and ultimately increase sales.

6. View Every Presentation Ever Sent to a Company or Person

This is one of our handiest options. View every reel, project or microsite presentation that has ever been sent to a company or individual by simply entering the contact into Contact Manager and voilà, the details are right at your fingertips!

5. Simian Projects Has a Built-in Client FTP

Each Simian project has its own independent Client FTP. Cool, right? Best part? The client FTP is a great tool for obtaining files from clients and freelancers without them logging into Simian or allowing them to see files/folders within your project. Just create a username/password and an FTP link is automatically sent. From here you can easily move files from the FTP right into your project within Simian.

4. Import Media Between Reels and Projects

Did you know that files can be sent directly from Projects to the Media Library and vice versa? Simply set the correct permission levels and you can even import files from one project to another …pretty handy stuff!

3. Present to Contact Groups

Need to send presentations to groups of contacts all at once? Simian’s built-in Contact Manager makes it simple to import contacts into Simian via a CSV file or a vCard. Just create a group, import contacts and then select the group the next time you need to send a presentation.

2. Run Multiple Companies or Brands from One Account

This is one of my personal favorites and if you didn’t know about it, you’ll be glad you do now. Simian makes it possible to run multiple companies out of one account. Switching between companies or themes is simple! Not only can you change the branding theme, you can also change the URL from which the presentation sent. Pretty powerful stuff!

1. Present with Microsites

Ok, everyone knows that Microsites are the most powerful presentation tool out there. Heck, over 70% of Simian clients use them! But, did you know that Microsites can be used to deliver treatments, digital pre-pro books, stand alone web sites, pitch decks and about 100 other things? If you really want to impress, use a microsite. So get creative!

Well, that’s it for Part 1. Stay tuned for Part 2…there’s a ton more great tips to come.
