Please describe how your company managed daily workflow and media sharing needs prior to using Simian.
That seems like a long time ago now and truly, I don’t know how we functioned without Simian. As hard as it is to believe, we emailed videos back and forth to each other. Ouch!
Please describe in detail, the needs, challenges or problems that made Simian the right choice for your company.
While designing our new website and needed a more efficient way to manage our video media, as well as edit and update our director reels.
Please describe in detail the ways in which Simian addressed these needs, challenges or problems.
We took our time exploring the various solutions available and discovered that Simian was the only platform that allowed us to easily create and edit directors’ reels and to update the reels featured on our website in real time. In addition, we were immediately attracted to the added benefits of creating and emailing tailor-made reels to clients in a few easy clicks of the mouse. Sharing project assets is also an added bonus. This is something that we now use on a regular basis and intend to integrate more and more into our workflow. We’re also using project microsites for pitch presentations, as well as pre-production meetings. Simian just offers so many great features that we have not begun to take them for granted and know that more are always on the way. Things like the ability to do intelligent searches for content from our library seems so simple, but truly nobody does it as well as Simian does.
Please describe in detail, the overall benefit that was achieved as a result of using Simian. This can include additional revenue or products related to a specific job or project.
For Moskito (now Mom), the two key benefits of using Simian have been a sizable increase in productivity and a vastly improved reel presentation and sharing methodology. As far as additional revenue goes, there’s no doubt that the ability to custom tailor and email reels in minutes has been and will continue to be, a factor in new business development.
