Enhanced Reel Tracking
Simian already lets you know who's viewing your reels and when, but now the data is even more intelligent. Measure how far your reels go by seeing which ones are forwarded - track the sender and recipient, and even see which spots were actually viewed. It's sort of like Lo-Jack for reels. Reel Activity Reports
Trend reports can tell you a lot about what your users like to watch, but Simian knows you're interested in more than popularity polls. With our latest enhancement, you can see which reel was viewed most recently and who did the watching.

Full-featured XML-based API
In addition to RSS feed capabilities, now you can pull all your media and reel data from Simian to easily integrate your website or web application. Also coming soon, the Simian API will allow for direct control and management of project data.

Auto-save Functionality
Reel Auto-save is the CYA of building new reels. If you accidentally log out, lose connection, or just take a break for any amount of time, the Auto-save function will save the most recent version until you decide to reset it or send it.

 

Returned Email Notification
Your reels need to reach your audience quickly and effectively. When an email bounces back for any reason, Simian will let you know immediately. Whether it's due to incorrect addresses or domain names, the notification message will provide information so you can follow up with the intended recipient.

 

Reel Reports Dive Deeper
It's more than just counting click throughs and tracking emails - now clients can run trend reports for a range of dates on the most-watched spots and which users are sending what reel and export it all to an Excel spreadsheet.

Streamlined FTP Increases Wait-Loss
FTP sites take time - time to upload, time to download and time just to upload again. You can spend hours or days just waiting for client files. Lose the wait with Simian's built-in FTP - it lets your clients add files directly to Simian - all they see is the FTP interface, and all you do is click the ones you want and import them into any category in any project. No more waiting.

Connect Contacts with VCard
In just one step, Simian's VCard feature lets you to import contacts from Outlook, Mac Mail or other email clients directly into your address book. No more typing. Simply select your recipient's name when setting up emails to send reels. The first and last name of the recipient will appear in the email header - polished delivery and spam-resistant!

Approval Queue

Send files for approval without requiring clients or production staff to log online. With just one click, they can submit approval, download files and make comments. Team members are notified and the project activity log is automatically updated.
