Tip #2: Using the Client FTP

Tip #2: Using Projects built-in Client FTP.
Moving large files from one computer source to another often requires the use of an FTP program. If you don’t already have one downloaded on your machine, try Filezilla, CoffeeCup, or Fetch.
In Simian Projects, there are two main scenarios for using the Client FTP
1. Large file uploads on HTTP connection - the maximum upload size your standard connection can handle is 500MB. When your file size exceeds this limit, make sure to upload using FTP.
2. Granting limited Simian access to an external vendor - if you want third party outsiders such as location scouts or rental companies to upload files to Simian, give them a user name and password to your FTP so your project folder stays private.
