Copy vs. Edit
Topic: Knowledge Base / Reel Creator
What is the difference between Copying a reel and Editing a reel?
While on the surface they may appear to be the same, they are actually two very different operations.
Copy - Copy should be used for making an EXACT copy of an existing reel. You can then use this copy to send to a potential client, or you can use this copy to make a newer updated version of the original that you can save separately without effecting the original version of the reel.
Edit - Caution should always be used when selecting the Edit function. Edit will do just that, it will EDIT the current version of a reel, overwriting the current record. Any changes made while editing a reel are Permanent.
Note: There is a difference between the reels that you save as a Favorite or a Company reel (located in the Reel Library) and the reels that you see in Reel Analytics (formerly History & Stats). For more information, please see the Knowledge Base article titled "Reel Library vs Reel Analytics".
