Q: When I open a pdf file in a Simian project, a viewer window opens but instead of displaying the pdf file, the window displays a Google login.

A: Simian has incorporated the Google document viewer into Simian so you can view pdf files (and other file types) from within the Simian project vs. having to download the file. Currently there is a know bug with the Google document viewer that sometime take you to a login page instead of opening the document. This happens when the viewer (the person trying to view the document) had previously logged into a Google account or Google app and their login session expired. Since this app is made by Google, Simian has no control over this and we can not fix the issue. We have however, come up with a work around solution that should work for most users until Google is able to address this bug.

On the Google login page that is displayed, you might see your google login name. Click on the "Change User" button. If your login name was displayed before, that should have gone away now. You can now go back to the pdf file and click on it again and it should display now.
